Hi-Fi Socket Interface

KARE Prosthetics & Orthotics is the first clinical facility in INDIA to be Hi-Fi Socket Certified. The High Fidelity Interface was developed in response to patient complaints that their sheaths did not fit tightly or comfortably, resulting in position, functional and operational control. Thus, a Hi-Fi socket interface was then designed in such a way that a person can have the most technically advanced prosthesis, in the form of arm, hands, knees or feet.

The HiFi interface gets close to the bones with a patented alternating compression and release pattern. Longitudinal struts apply medial compression to selected areas of the limb, and individually designed windows between the struts proactively guide the gradual release of displaced soft tissue, allowing volume to escape safely. At the transfemoral level, where there is softer tissue, the HiFiTransfemoral Imager is used in the casting or scanning phase of the HiFi interface. This device allows the HiFi trained prosthetist to apply appropriate compression to desired areas of the limb and maintain a consistent amount of pressure during casting or scanning. Our users report that they notice the benefits as soon as they step into our Imager.
